With 25 years of experience, I have learned a thing or two about what it takes to successfully contact MLM Leads. Which is why I am writing this article on the “Three Deadly Sins To Avoid When Contacting MLM Leads.”

Grab a Starbucks, or cup of tea, and take some time to read over and analyze what I have written. When you learn to avoid these seven deadly prospecting sins, you will see your business flourish.

The Three Deadly Sins Of Attracting MLM Prospects.

1.  Best Value – This is one of those statements we all have used at one time or another. Yet, when you get right down to it ask yourself this question “how many times has some salesperson told you they have the best value, just for you to find better value elsewhere?”

Value is in the eye of the beholder! So if you are going to make this claim, you had better have the proof to back it up.

If you are going to make a “best value” claim then you need to decide, based on your product or service, exactly what type of “best value” you are providing – Time Value, Money Value, or Service Value. If you are not sure then NEVER use “Best Value” claims.

2. We’re #1 – Yes, I know, you were told by your sponsor and all the propaganda that your company put out that you are #1.

However, your potential business partner or customer is thinking “I’ve heard it all before!” Although history has proven that some network marketing companies are #1 in their category, niche, or industry, the question that you should be asking is – Does your “#1” benefit the consumer, or just sound good to the field force?

Don’t poison your presentation with inward focused statements like “we’re #1? instead focus on the desires of your prospects and listen to what they really want. Let them know “They Are #1!”

And if you still believe you need to sin and say “we’re #1?, then you had better have social proof to back it up, not just company bought and paid for propaganda.

3.  Most Experienced – Every time I read or hear someone say these words, I ask myself “who cares, what does it matter?

Over the years I have learned that only in a few things does “experience” matter.

When my daughter was 5 and needed a pediatric kidney surgeon, experience mattered. And once when I was charged with “assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill” (remember I am a former Marine and Ex-Bounty Hunter) experience mattered when I hired my criminal defense attorney.

But in marketing, experience does not even rate in the top 20 things a person looks for in determining if they are going to do business with you.  People care if they can trust you, not about your overall experience.

If you get nothing else out of this post, remember the following sentence.

“People don’t care how much you know, until they know you care.”
