There once was a very high tower with a steep stairway inside it. Near the tower lived a bunch of tiny frogs and one day these tiny frogs decided to have a race to the top of the tower.

A huge crowd gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants. As the race began, there was a lot of talk coming from the crowd, since no one really believed that any of the tiny frogs could reach the top. There were a lot of statements like:

“Oh, it is WAY too difficult!”

“They will NEVER make it to the top!”

“Not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!”

The tiny frogs began collapsing.

One by one, they dropped out of the race. The crowd continued to call out saying:

“It is too difficult!”

“No one will make it!”

“It is impossible!”

All the tiny frogs dropped out of the race except one who kept climbing.

The crowd called out to this lone remaining contestant saying:

“Give up! Don’t you know you cannot reach the top? It is impossible!”

But the tiny frog kept climbing and climbing until he reached the top of the very high tower.

All of the other tiny frogs were amazed that one of them had made it all the way to the top.

When the tiny frog got back down to the base of the tower, one in the crowd asked him where he found the strength to reach the top, but the tiny frog did not answer.

You see, this tiny frog was deaf!

Sometimes you just need to stop listening to the people that say you can’t do it. Instead, try believing in yourself. You may be surprised what you’re capable of.
